ChatGPT will start showing Shopify products in its shopping results.

OpenAI has just added Shopify as an official search partner for its ChatGPT shopping experience. This means that when someone searches for a product on ChatGPT, items from Shopify stores can appear as featured results with images, prices, reviews, and a buy button.

Why does it matter?

ChatGPT already has more than 180 M active users. Rich results : Images, star ratings, and descriptions generated to capture clicks. Fewer steps to purchase: the link leads directly to your checkout, reducing friction.

Search results are evolving: the trend is increasingly leaning toward AI-powered answers, displacing traditional searches.
