Are you ready to have an online store?

Before investing time and money in an online store, you need a clear sign that your product is already gaining traction in the real world. Followers and likes aren't enough: what truly validates your product are sales and incoming inquiries that demonstrate demand. The questionnaire below will help you easily determine if it's time to launch your store or if it's best to continue validating with a minimum viable product.

  • 1) Has your product already solved a real need?

Think of concrete evidence: people who paid or who bought again.

    • If you've already validated it with real customers β†’ +6 pts
    • If it is still a hypothesis without proof β†’ 0 pts
  • 2) Do you know who you sell to and where to find them online?

Define your buyer persona and the channels (IG, TikTok, YouTube, Google, forums, communities).

    • If you can describe it and achieve it today β†’ +6 pts
    • If you're not sure β†’ 0 pts
  • 3) Is your price aligned with your value proposition?

Compare it to real alternatives and your profit margin.

    • If it is the same or cheaper (without destroying margin) β†’ +2 pts
    • If it's superior but has proven value (and they still buy it) β†’ +2 pts
    • If it is superior without proof of value β†’ 0 pts
  • 4) Is your trademark registered?

It's not a requirement to launch, but it adds to confidence and protection.

    • Yes β†’ +2 pts
    • No β†’ 0 pts
  • 5) How well-established is your social media presence?

More than likes, useful reach and credibility matter.

    • More than 1,000 total followers (with real activity) β†’ +5 pts
    • Less than 1,000 β†’ +2 pts
    • You don't have any social media accounts yet β†’ 0 pts
  • 6) How many times a month do you get asked β€œhow/buy/where”?

    Purchase requests are explicit demands.

    • More than 10 per month β†’ +10 pts
    • Less than 10 per month β†’ +2 pts
  • 7) How many actual sales have you made? (excluding friends and family)

This is the most important factor.

    • More than 10 sales β†’ +19 pts
    • Less than 10 sales β†’ +8 pts
    • Zero sales β†’ 0 pts

How to interpret your result

  • 0–27 pts β†’ Validate first: prioritize getting more than 10 sales and increasing inquiries by +10/month before investing in the platform.

  • 28–34 pts β†’ MVP GO: Launch small (1–3 hero products, simple checkout, visible reviews) for 2–4 weeks, measure and adjust.
  • 35–50 pts β†’ GO: You are ready to open your store (even if it's in MVP mode) and optimize live.

Golden rule: If you haven't sold yet , focus your next 7–10 days on practical validation (clear offer, one-screen landing page, DMs, and mini-campaign) and social proof . Then reassess your score.
